Christie, Aaron L.
In this keynote address, Pastor Christie provides a detailed exploration of the early development of the Church and the integral relationship between worship and outreach throughout the history of God's Church. As the Church faced the transition from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant, the early Christian believers were challenged with a diverse cultural context but also blessed with a remarkable spread of the Gospel message throughout the Roman Empire. The apostles encountered significant opposition throughout their outreach efforts—both in public preaching and personal witnessing of the faith. Even beyond the apostles' time, the Church has always experienced a closed interconnection between worship and outreach as it sheds light on the foundations of the faith and the enduring importance of sharing the Gospel with the world.
