In his Senior Church History paper, Howard Mohlke briefly outlines the WLS textbook for preaching—“Preach the Gospel.” He then follows the history of Lutheran preaching from the time of Melanchthon till the present. He concludes with an analysis of the method with its pluses and minuses.
