Teaching the Doctrine of Church Fellowship in a Chinese Context: A Western Perspective
Abstract
This paper investigates various methods of teaching church fellowship to a Chinese audience.
While appropriation of Christian doctrine properly belongs only to the work of the Holy Spirit,
he calls Christians to teach his truth to others. The author integrated the work of Western
educators in China with interviews from men who have experience teaching Chinese Christians.
The points of agreement and disagreement between the two groups are discussed with specific
application to church fellowship, all the while attempting to contextualize church fellowship for
the Chinese.
