dc.description.abstract | As the Lord has called us to preach the message of life to this dying world, he has called us to minister to the young children of our in the light of God's grace. The Lutheran school seeks to fulfill Christ's Great Commission as it nurtures the children in the truth of God's Word. It is not simply a quality replacement for public schools. Instead, Lutheran schools hold the task of teaching the very message that Jesus has commanded us to preach: the message of humanity's deadness in sin and full redemption in Christ. In doing so, we allow our young children to experience a godly life while providing them with an environment to learn important Christian doctrines in a practical setting. The church would be at a disadvantage to regard Christian day schools as another transactional institution to manage. Although the Bible does not prescribe how a day school should operate, the church should realize that Christian day school provides an avenue to carry out the Great Commission faithfully. | en_US |
